Polls open at 7am on Thursday. To help you make the most of the four days left, Putney.news has built a page for every one of the 22 wards in Wandsworth, so you can find your candidates, see who has answered our questions, and model the result for yourself before you vote.
Seven of the pages cover Putney: East Putney, Roehampton, Southfields, Thamesfield, Wandsworth Town, West Hill and West Putney. The other 15 cover the rest of the borough. Each carries the same components: a ward boundary map, polling hours, candidate profiles, and an interactive 2026 model.
The candidate profiles are the part we have spent most time on. Every candidate standing in every ward was sent the same set of questions. Those who replied have profiles built around their actual answers, in their own words. Those who did not, you will see that too. In a campaign where most candidates lean on glossy leaflets and party-line briefing, a willingness to answer voter-focused questions is a small but useful test of how seriously a candidate takes the people whose votes they want.

We have also worked hard to provide a voting model that reflects the multi-party political world we are currently in. Pre-set to your ward’s 2022 vote share, you can drag dials for the three other parties and watch the Conservative and Labour swing bar move. See exactly what swing it would take to flip your ward, or to hold it. And underneath those dials, the traditional swingometer between the two main parties. Together they reflect the complexity of this election and the wider national sense that our politics needs shaking up and improving.
The 2022 margins in some Putney wards are very tight: Labour held East Putney by three votes. The model lets you test, in seconds, what that means for 7 May.
The pages connect to each other. If you live in Putney but work in Tooting Bec, look at both. We have also linked through to our fact-check of the Conservative manifesto and the searchable list of all 295 candidates for those who want to range further before Thursday.
Find them all at putney.news/election. Find your ward. See whose candidates have bothered to engage. Then vote.
Thank you for taking the time to pull this together – it’s fascinating!!
