Police are appealing for help identifying a man after a woman was sexually assaulted on a District Line train at Putney Bridge station on 29 April. The assault happened at around 6.30pm as the man left the train at the station.
British Transport Police released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to on 29 May, a month after the incident. Officers believe the man pictured could have information to assist their enquiries.
The man is shown wearing a dark hoodie with graphic text, loose grey jeans and blue trainers.
Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 645 of 29 April. Those who prefer to remain anonymous can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
BTP recorded 2,475 sexual offences against women on the rail network in 2024, double the rate of a decade ago.
This is a separate incident from an indecent exposure reported on the same line in April, which remains under separate investigation.
