UPLIFT Festival: Future Voice – The UPLIFT Playwriting Competition

Part of the UPLIFT Festival – the powerful finale of this new youth theatre and performance festival for young people aged 14-19.

Join us for the exciting conclusion of UPLIFT Festival as we showcase the incredible talent emerging from our Playwriting Competition, held in collaboration with Theatre503, one of London’s leading new writing theatres.

Evening Schedule:

• 5:45pm – 6:30pm: Pizza and Playwright – A special session for all those who submitted a play, sharing experiences and celebrating participation
• 7:00pm – 7:30pm: Small Scenes from Runner-Up Plays – Excerpts performed from competition finalists
• 7:30pm – 8:15pm: First Winning Play – Full 30-minute performance of the first competition winner
• 8:15pm – 8:30pm: Interval
• 8:30pm – 8:45pm: Small Scenes from Festival Attendees – Additional short performances
• 8:45pm – 9:30pm: Second Winning Play – Full 30-minute performance of the second competition winner

This is a celebration of bold ideas, fresh voices, and the future of theatre – written and performed by young people, for everyone. Experience new stories, perspectives, and theatrical voices that will shape the future of British theatre.
