Moving Stories
An 8-week creative health programme for older South Asian residents in Wandsworth, run by Age UK Wandsworth with Happy Homes Community and the Wandsworth Asian Women’s Association, and backed by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Sessions combine conversation, music, photographs and personal objects to share memories of family, migration and home, then work with a movement facilitator to turn those stories into movement drawn from Bollywood, folk and classical South Asian traditions. No dance experience is needed and every movement can be adapted for seated or standing participants.
Suitable for: Older South Asian residents; recommended age 18+
