Father’s Day at Colombo Kitchen

COLOMBO KITCHEN CELEBRATES FATHER’S DAY WITH A SRI LANKAN MENU INSPIRED BY CHEF-OWNER SYLVIA PERERA’S FATHER
Colombo Kitchen will celebrate Father’s Day with a special four-course Sri Lankan tasting menu inspired by chef-owner Sylvia Perera’s father and the coastal flavours of Negombo, Sri Lanka’s seafood capital. Available on Sunday 21 June at both Colombo Kitchen Worcester Park and Colombo Kitchen Putney, and priced at £38 per person, the menu brings together a selection of dishes with personal significance to Sylvia and her family, including some of her father’s favourites.
Led by Sri Lankan-born chef-owner Sylvia Perera, Colombo Kitchen is celebrated for authentic Sri Lankan cooking rooted in family heritage, traditional methods and warm, generous hospitality. For Father’s Day, guests can expect a menu that reflects Sylvia’s coastal upbringing and the flavours that continue to shape Colombo Kitchen today, from prawn wade and Mirissa-style pan-seared scallops with creamy coconut gravy, to a generous traditional Sri Lankan thali. Guests can choose from mutton curry, chicken curry or jackfruit curry, served with basmati rice, aubergine moju, dhal curry, tempered beans, beetroot sambal and pol sambal, followed by kithul pani cheesecake or tropical fruit tart.
Colombo Kitchen’s Father’s Day menu will be served on Sunday 21 June, at both restaurants, with booking and pre-ordering advised.
