Riverside Studios at 50: Gyles Brandreth – Up Memory Lane

One of Britain’s most irrepressible storytellers comes home. Gyles Brandreth – Up Memory Lane is a wonderfully personal and entertaining afternoon at Riverside Studios, Hammersmith, on Sunday 28 June 2026 at 4pm, closing out the venue’s extraordinary 50th anniversary celebration season.
Gyles Brandreth — broadcaster, author, former MP, actor, and one of the nation’s most cherished raconteurs — has appeared in no fewer than three productions at Riverside Studios over the years. Now he returns for a very personal trip up memory lane, sharing hilarious tales from the best and worst moments of his unlikely life, including backstage stories from his time at the venue.
Joining him on stage is his friend and collaborator Harriet Jaine, producer of his chart-topping, multi-million-download podcast, who will help guide the afternoon with warmth and wit. Together they promise an occasion filled with laughter, nostalgia, and the kind of unexpected revelations that only a life as eventful as Gyles Brandreth’s can produce.
Known to millions from Just a Minute, Celebrity Gogglebox, the Rosebud podcast and decades of television, radio and stage work, Brandreth brings a unique combination of erudition, self-deprecation and showmanship to everything he does. This promises to be a genuinely unmissable afternoon for fans of great storytelling.
The event is part of Riverside Studios’ 50th anniversary season, and every ticket purchased helps support the venue’s mission to keep the arts inclusive and accessible for emerging creatives and future generations.
