Have your say: What do you really think about the Putney Bridge junction?

Following our investigation into how the £835,000 redesign was approved, we need to hear from you. Poll closes Tuesday.
Putney Junction survey

Over the past week, we’ve published detailed investigations revealing how Putney Bridge junction ended up the way it is. We’ve uncovered TfL’s rejection of safer designs, signal timing failures that cost drivers up to 21 seconds per cycle, and questions about whether residents ever had a real say.

Now it’s your turn.

This poll takes about 3 minutes. Your answers will help us understand what the community actually thinks about how this project was handled – and what should happen next.

Why your response matters:

We’ll publish the results early next week alongside our analysis. These findings will inform our ongoing coverage and our conversations with both the council and TfL. When hundreds of residents speak clearly about accountability, decision-making, and priorities, it’s harder for officials to dismiss concerns or avoid answering tough questions.

Each question includes background information to help you understand the context. If you’re not sure about something, click the expandable sections for more detail.

The poll has now closed. The results are below.

  1. I live in Merivale some 100m from this junction at rush I have had to wait 40mins to get through this junction. All residents are agreed this needs to be changed. Even as a cyclist the changes have made traveling more dangerous because of close slow moving traffic. The consultant and modeling was done before Hammersmith bridge closed. A mistake has been made, please listen to those whom you serve.
