The Remenham Challenge

The Remenham Challenge is the Remenham Club’s head race for crews from its seven founding clubs. Eights and masters quads start from the Chiswick Pier walkway at 10am and race downstream to the Black Buoy on Putney Embankment, so the finish is right in front of the Putney boathouses.

Open and women’s eights race together and are split after entries close into Championship and Club bands, alongside Development and Masters categories, with handicaps applied to masters times. Points from the eights categories decide the Jonty Steel Victor Ludorum trophy for the most successful club.
