Talk: Director of the Heritage of London Trust
22 May, 2024 @ 6:30 pm
Free

The Director of the Heritage of London Trust, Dr Nicola Stacey, will be talking at Putney Library about the work the Trust is carrying out in Wandsworth, including a set of painting glass windows next door in the Putney Community Church.
The Trust was set up in 1980 to rescue historic buildings and monuments and works in every London borough, supporting local communities. It identifies projects, commissions condition surveys, gives grants and guides the restoration of each site from beginning to end.
In Putney, there are four such sites:
- The painted glass windows in the Putney Community Church in Disraeli Road dated from the 1880s
- Putney’s Old Burial Ground on Upper Richmond Road, where the trust is restoring tombs
- Stained glass windows at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in West Hill
- The United Service Transport Mosaic in Southfields
If at all possible, contact the organisers to reserve a place.
