Monet: A One-Man Show

The Arts Society SW London presents an acclaimed one-man show from the 2025 Edinburgh Festival.

Claude Monet is often hailed as the Founder of Impressionism. This captivating solo performance examines the complex inner thoughts of the man behind the paintings brought to life by actor Stephen Smith. The audience joins an aged Monet in his studio at Giverny suffering from unsuccessful cataract surgery and burdened with a daunting commission to create his world-famous Water Lilies. W

ith innovative multi-media projection and sound design Monet takes you on an intimate journey through his extraordinary life. You will discover his candid thoughts on fellow Impressionists insights into his ground-breaking artistic techniques the fascinating development of the Impressionist movement and controversial details of his private life.
