Hank Wangford & The Lost Cowboys – Spring Lunchtime Special

Hank Wangford & The Lost Cowboys return to The Half Moon for a seated lunchtime show, with pedal steel player BJ Cole joining the band. Wangford – the stage persona of Dr Sam Hutt, a former rock ‘n’ roll doctor whose patients included the Rolling Stones and the Grateful Dead – has spent almost three decades needling the polite end of British country music, a path he first took after befriending Gram Parsons in the 1970s.

He fronted two of British television’s only country music series, Big Big Country and The A to Z of C&W, and has just released a new album, Whistling in the Dark, alongside two books tracing the same career.
