Harvey’s Bakehouse steps up with hot new brunch menu in Putney

Beloved artisan bakery adds five cooked dishes in ‘soft launch’ — from fish finger sandwiches to veggie breakfasts.

Harvey’s Bakehouse, a popular independent bakery on Upper Richmond Road, has launched its first-ever cooked food menu, marking a bold new chapter in its Putney journey.

The new offerings — made available this weekend as part of a soft launch — include a mix of hearty, health-conscious and indulgent options. Customers can now tuck into a Fish Finger Sandwich with house tartare and crispy lettuce, a Veggie Breakfast on sourdough with halloumi and poached egg, or keep it light with The Health Kick, featuring smashed avocado, radish and seeds.

The full list also includes a Breakfast Bowl with granola, thick Greek yoghurt, fruit and honey, as well as the Gym Toast, a sweet-and-salty mix of peanut butter, banana, blueberries and seeds.

“This is a massive step up for us and we are super excited to expand our menu!” the team announced on social media, sharing their excitement with loyal locals and new fans alike.

It’s a significant move for the small team behind Harvey’s, who have built a dedicated following since opening with a focus on freshly baked breads, inventive pastries, and standout sausage rolls. The new menu will initially run in a reduced format over the weekend, as the kitchen team tests and fine-tunes operations.

Harvey’s owner, Harvey Bishop, previously told Putney.News he wanted the bakery to become “a community place — somewhere you can grab a croissant, come back for a sandwich, and even sit down for brunch.” With this new cooked menu, that vision is coming to life.
