UPLIFT Festival: Happimess – create and explore theatre crafts

Part of the UPLIFT Festival – a new youth theatre and performance festival for young people aged 14-19.

Join us for a joyful evening of theatre craft, centred around the theme of happiness. This hands-on event is designed to explore your creativity, learn new skills, and – yes – make a bit of a mess along the way!

Workshop Schedule:

• 5:30pm – 6:30pm: Mask Making – Design and craft theatrical masks to bring characters to life
• 5:30pm – 6:30pm: Zine Making – Create your own artistic zines exploring personal stories and creative expression
• 6:30pm – 7:30pm: Puppet Making and Manipulation – Build puppets and learn performance techniques to bring them to life on stage

Young Directors Showcase:

7:45pm – 8:45pm: Everyone who attends Happimess gets a free ticket to the Young Directors Showcase – a performance of The Effect directed by emerging young directors, showcasing the talent of the next generation of theatre-makers.

Pay What You Can ticketing – no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
