International Lego Day Craft Activity

28 January @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Free

Celebrate International Lego Day at Southfields Library on Wednesday 28 January from 3:30pm to 4:30pm with a special Lego-themed craft activity for children aged 3 and up. This free family-friendly session in SW19 marks International Lego Day (January 28th) by inviting young builders from Southfields, Putney, Wimbledon, and across Wandsworth to create Lego-inspired crafts. No booking required – simply drop in to enjoy this creative celebration of the world’s most beloved building blocks. Since its invention in Denmark, Lego has inspired generations of children to build, create, and imagine, developing spatial reasoning, fine motor skills, and problem-solving abilities. This craft activity at Wandsworth Libraries honours Lego’s legacy while providing children with hands-on creative experiences that complement their building play at home. The session offers parents and carers a free, quality after-school activity that engages children’s imaginations and celebrates construction play. Whether your child has a massive Lego collection or has never played with the iconic bricks, this activity welcomes all participants to explore Lego-themed creativity. Southfields Library provides a welcoming community space for this drop-in session that combines art, engineering concepts, and pure fun for preschoolers and early primary school children.
