An Evening with Bex Hogan at Waterstones Cambridge

Join author Bex Hogan as she celebrates the publication of Nettle – a haunting, heart wrenching tale inspired by faery myth and folklore of a girl called Nettle in a dark, foreboding faery kingdom. She will be in conversation with fellow YA fantasy author Holly Race.
Praise for Nettle:
Nettle is full of wit, wisdom and charm, I was stung on the first page and fell head first into Bex Hogan’s magical world. – Kat Dunn
Drenched in magic and beauty, Nettle will transport you into a dark yet gorgeous faery tale you won’t ever want to leave – Anna Waterworth, author of the The Girl Who Grew Wings
Raised on a healthy diet of fantasy and fairy tales, Bex Hogan has spent much of her life lost in daydreams. Writing her stories down was a natural progression and now she enjoys sharing her time between living in the real world and escaping to her imagination. A Cornish girl at heart, Bex now lives in Cambridgeshire with her beautiful family. Her previous YA novel Black Heat is a dark, enthralling feminist fantasy from the about three underestimated women and the lengths they will go to for peace … and revenge.
HollyRace is now a full-time writer, but she used to work in TV and film script development, for companies like Red Planet Pictures, Aardman Animations and Working Title. She is a Faber Academy graduate, and her Young Adult urban fantasy trilogy –Midnight’s Twins, A Gathering Midnight and A Midnight Dark and Golden – are published by Hot Key Books. Her next novel Six Wild Crowns is an historical fantasy retelling of the six wives of Henry VIII, due out in May 2025.
