A chef who launched Mayfair’s Michelin-starred Indian Accent is bringing Diwali celebrations to Putney with a week-long special menu.
Chef Parminder Singh, best known for his appearance on MasterChef: The Professionals 2022, has created a three-course sharing menu at Cho Asia on Lower Richmond Road, available today through Sunday 19th October for £30 per person.
The menu features Singh’s contemporary take on Indian festival cuisine, with diners choosing from starters including dahi sev puri with wasabi peas, panko-crusted Amritsari fish goujons, and wild mushroom and truffle stuffed chicken kebabs. Main courses range from chargrilled chicken in butter tomato sauce to lamb pepper fry and spinach parmesan kofta. The meal concludes with coconut jaggery rice pudding topped with Iranian pine nuts.
Singh spent over 15 years working in kitchens across Delhi, New York and London, including time at restaurants ranked among the World’s 50 Best. Before opening Cho Asia, he served as opening head chef of Indian Accent in Mayfair, which earned a Michelin star under his leadership.
Cho Asia means “to choose,” and reflects Singh’s philosophy of letting diners chart their own journey through Asian culinary traditions.

Diwali on Lower Richmond Road
Cho Asia is among several Putney restaurants marking the Festival of Lights, which takes place on Monday 20th October this year.
Further along Lower Richmond Road, Chook Chook is offering a Diwali thali in both vegetarian and chicken options, while Raaz – which opened in September under another Michelin-trained chef Imran Mansuri – is celebrating its first Diwali with a three-course feast priced at £39.99 per person.
The concentration of Indian restaurants on this stretch of Lower Richmond Road gives Putney residents multiple options for celebrating the festival, which symbolises the victory of light over darkness and is observed by Hindu, Sikh and Jain communities.
Beyond dining, London’s largest Diwali celebration takes place at Trafalgar Square on 12th October, while Greenwich Peninsula hosts free festivities on 18th October.
Cho Asia’s Diwali menu requires advance booking for a minimum of two guests. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday.
