DESCRIPTION:Join the Friends of PSAD this October for a fascinating talk by Chloë Sayer exploring the remarkable life and legacy of Frida Kahlo. The lecture will take place on Friday the 16 October 2026\, at 7pm in Studio 1\, Putney School of Art and Design in Oxford Road\, Putney.\nThe Mexican painter Frida Kahlo (1907–1954) is regarded as one of the great artists of the 20th century. Tate Modern is currently celebrating her life and work with the exhibition ‘Frida: The Making of an Icon’. (25.06.26 to 03.01.27). Last year\, a new auction record was set when Frida’s painting ‘The Dream’ sold for $54.7 million\, the highest price ever paid for any artwork by a woman.\nThe lecture is FREE to Friends of PSAD members\, £7.5 for non-members.
