DESCRIPTION:The Vesta Scullers Head is the UK’s largest race for single scullers\, first raced in 1954. Over 500 competitors gather annually to test their fitness and sculling skills along the 6.8km championship course from the University Stone at Mortlake to the downstream end of Putney Pier. Previous winners include Olympic and World Champions from both heavyweight and lightweight categories. The race is usually held on the ebb tide and features multiple categories including championship\, senior\, club and novice tiers for both open and female competitors\, plus junior and masters categories. Entry fee is £45 per sculler with entries closing on 16th September 2025 at 7:00 pm. Prize giving ceremony takes place at 2:45 pm at Vesta Rowing Club.
