SUMMARY:London Independent Photography Putney Barnes forum annual exhibition
DESCRIPTION:The annual exhibition is held during opening hours at the Putney Library. This year\, along with contemporary local images we have focused on ‘Past and Present’. Inspired by local photographer William Field’s images of the Putney High Street in the late 1800s we compare some same locations from back then and those of the present day. \nLondon Independent Photography (LiP) is a community organisation of amateur and professional photographers. The event will be recorded live as an episode of Gyles Brandreth’s chart-topping podcast Rosebud\, giving audiences a front-row seat at a piece of broadcasting history. \nThe connection between Sir Lenny and Riverside Studios goes back to 1988 — a pivotal year in which he was performing to sold-out crowds at the venue while simultaneously presenting the very first Red Nose Day for Comic Relief\, helping to launch one of the UK’s most beloved charitable institutions.
