Grounds for Comedy runs a stand-up night at Story Coffee in the Ram Quarter, built by locals rather than a promoter parachuted in from central London. It grew out of two sold-out shows in Battersea and has now moved into a bigger room, mixing newer and more diverse acts with established names.
Doors open at 7pm with wine and nibbles served throughout, and the comedy runs from 7.30pm in what the organisers describe as an intimate, close-up room. September’s is the first of four shows running through to a season finale in November.
