About the Battersea Society
The Battersea Society is a registered charity (No. 1103560) dedicated to “celebrating Battersea’s past, supporting its present and promoting its future.” The Society organizes events, produces publications, and engages in planning, heritage, open spaces, and community activities throughout Battersea.
2024 Highlights
• Membership grew to 467 members (up from 434)
• Successfully organized election hustings for both GLA and General Elections
• Maintained a vibrant events program including talks, walks, and social gatherings
• Contributed to public consultations on local developments
• Celebrated the announcement of Wandsworth’s upcoming London Borough of Culture year
• Published the quarterly magazine “Battersea Matters”
