Part of Breaking Point, a nine-play drama festival staged by Putney Theatre Company and curated by Owen Thomas James, running 18 to 26 July.
Almenara by William Brann. Set during the Spanish Civil War, the play confines itself to an emergency village meeting in Almenara as troops approach. The villagers must decide whether the advancing soldiers mean rescue or execution.
Tickets are £10, or £8 concessions including PTC and Group 64 members. A festival pass covering all nine plays is £60, or £48 concessions. Book via the theatre website.
