Your ward, your words
Thank you for standing for election in Wandsworth. Putney.news is publishing candidate profiles for every ward so voters can hear directly from the people on their ballot paper.
This form has five short questions: the same ones for every candidate in every party, including independents. Your answers will be published in full alongside your name and ward, exactly as you write them.
There are no trick questions. We’re interested in what you know about your ward, what you’d do if elected, and what makes you tick. Voters tell us they want to hear from candidates in their own words.
The questions are:
Q1. What’s the single most important issue in your ward right now?
Q2. What’s one thing the council does well that you’d want to protect or build on?
Q3. If elected, what’s one specific thing in your ward you’ll personally commit to in your first six months — and how will residents be able to tell whether you’ve done it?
Q4. How did you first get involved in this ward?
Q5. What’s one popular local opinion you’d push back on?
It should take about ten minutes.
