Putney’s New Year’s Eve scene is firmly adult-focused this year – so far we’ve been unable to find any family-friendly early countdown events in the area.
Parents with young children should look to Central London venues like the Rivoli Ballroom or Ministry of Sound’s Raver Tots events for family options. For everyone else, here’s your complete guide to seeing in 2026 across Putney, Wandsworth and nearby areas.
From budget-friendly pub parties to premium Thames cruises, the area offers something for most celebration styles and wallets.

Nearby options worth the journey
The Anglers in Teddington (about 20 minutes from Putney) offers two tiers: £20 for fireworks viewing with a welcome drink from 10pm, or £65 for dining plus fireworks. Part of the proceeds supports charity.
The Bridge in Barnes (15 minutes away) serves its regular menu on New Year’s Eve but recommends booking well ahead for guaranteed seating.
All venues are over-18s only after 7pm, with most running until the early hours. Book ahead wherever possible, as New Year’s Eve in Putney tends to fill up quickly despite the lack of family options.
