Walking into Dim Sum Kitchen on opening night, you’re greeted by a thoughtfully designed space that balances modern comfort with traditional touches.
The faux brick wall adorned with the restaurant’s name creates a warm backdrop, while black tufted banquettes and clean lines give the interior a contemporary feel. It’s the kind of place that immediately signals “family-friendly” without sacrificing style.

The menu offers a comprehensive selection of Hong Kong and Cantonese classics. We sampled their signature dim sum alongside traditional mains including chicken fried rice, sweet and sour soup, and chicken with ginger and spring onion.
What stands out is the freshness – you can taste the difference that comes from in-house preparation, particularly evident in their dim sum where the handmade dough wrapping has that distinctive texture you simply can’t achieve with pre-made alternatives. The main dishes were slightly over-salted but flavourful.
The dim sum itself – we tried pork, chicken, and vegetable varieties – lived up to the restaurant’s promise of quality. Each basket arrived piping hot from the bamboo steamers, with fillings that were well-seasoned and wrappers that achieved that perfect balance between tender and substantial.
The dessert was light and sweet and disappeared quickly.
