Putney residents have a new way to get involved in local news, thanks to a feature launched today by Putney.news.
The site now includes a simple, mobile-friendly Send Your Story form, making it easy for people – including you – to share news tips, story ideas, and photos.
The form is available on the site’s main menu along with News, Sport etc.
We hope readers will this as a practical way to share what’s happening in their neighbourhoods—whether it’s a lost dog, a charity event, or planning issue that deserves attention.
The form allows people to quickly submit a few lines of text as well as upload files such as photos, flyers, or screenshots. Whether it’s a burst water main, an inspiring community project, or just a beautiful sunset over the Thames, the team behind Putney.news wants to hear about it.
Putney.news aims to serve not just Putney but also Southfields, Roehampton and Wandsworth Town and publishes at least one local story every day. The site covers everything from council meetings to community events, school news, transport updates and more.
Other features coming
The team is also working on a feature that will let residents directly input upcoming events to the site’s events calendar, helping spread the word about local gatherings, fundraisers, and community meet-ups. But in the meantime, please use this form to let us know.
A simple reporting system is also in the works for residents to flag lower-level crime like parcel theft—something that’s increasingly affecting people across the area.
And it’s not just hard news that’s welcome. Submissions that reflect the everyday life of the area—birthdays, anniversaries, fundraising efforts, pub quizzes, or even an especially good cappuccino—are all encouraged.
So next time you spot something interesting in your corner of SW15—or Southfields, Roehampton or Wandsworth Town—don’t just tell a neighbour. Tell Putney.news.
