A wide range of events from walks, talks, plaque unveilings and art exhibitions have been announced as part of this year’s Wandsworth Heritage Festival.

The events will take place from 18 May to 9 June and will cross-cross the Borough, from terrible tales of Streatham Cemetery to beer tasting in Wandsworth Town. The festival also comes one year before Wandsworth becomes London’s Borough of Culture 2025.

You can see the entire list of events in the official Wandsworth Heritage Festival brochure [pdf] but for ease of use we are adding them each individually to the Putney.news events page where you can search by type, date and location.

This year’s focus is on exploring health and well-being in Wandsworth – both in the past and present – something that ties in with the council’s “Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2024-2029.” The events are varied but a significant number delve into the history of health in the area, as well as events exploring Black history.
