South Western Railways has published a greater reduced train timetable for this coming Monday 8 April due to train strike action by drivers.
Trains will not run on the Hounslow loop on from Putney station, meaning no service to Barnes Bridge, Chiswick, Kew Bridge and through to Hounslow. In addition, they will not run past Feltham on the main track, cutting off Staines, Ascot and so on through to Reading.
Trains will also not run to Southampton, Portsmouth, Windsor or Exeter.
Trains from Waterloo serving the south west were already going to be heavily impacted on Saturday due to another day of action by train drivers in their long-running dispute over pay and conditions.
This new set of restrictions is likely to cause commuter chaos on Monday, with many expected to work from home rather than make their way into the capital. There is also expected to be a knock-on impact on the Tube.
You can view the full set of restrictions by day on SWR’s website. A map of the part of the network around Putney is below – the greyed out parts will not be served. The full map can be downloaded from the SWR website.
